Parenting Plans
When you have joint custody in a divorce or separation a Parenting Plan should fit your children's needs. Typically there are three types of share plans : Weekday Sharing, Weekend Sharing and Shared Weeks.
Weekday Sharing
*One specific weekday, after school until 8 p.m.
*Several Specific weekdays, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
*Everyday after school until 8 p.m.
*Weekday overnights
*Wednesday after school until Thursday before school
*Wednesday after school until Friday before school
Weekend Sharing
*Can be every weekend or alternate weekends
*1st, 3rd & 5th weekends
*2nd and 4th weekends
*Friday after school until Sunday 6p.m. or Monday morning
*Saturday am until Sunday pm
*Saturday am until Monday am
Shared Weeks
*Week to week with exchanges on Friday, Sunday or Monday
*Week to week with midweek dinner visit or overnight to non-custodial parent
*Wednesday to Saturday and Saturday to Wednesday (split week)
*2 overnights on weekdays and alternate weekends
*5-5-2-2 (5 days with each parent, then 2 days with each parent)
